Top Ten Worst Jobs in the World

One thing my mother always told me as a child was that somewhere, somehow, there were people worse off than me. As I kid, I found it annoying.  As an adult, I only find it merely annoying. I’m just kidding – sometimes, we need to take a step back and put things into perspective. So, if your office job is getting you down, here are the top ten worst jobs in the world – keep them in mind!

1. Lumberjack

That’s right, Monty Python lied to us all. It turns out that being a lumberjack is not all fun, games and male voice choirs. The long hours, poor rates of pay and the intrinsic danger of making very tall trees fall to the ground make the life of a lumberjack hard and stressful work.

2. Dairy Farmer

Farming in itself is hard labour, but most years it can be pretty profitable. Dairy farming is a whole different ballgame. Profit normally doesn’t trickle down to the supplier, and the stress and low hiring outlook can make it a tough (if well-loved) job.

3. Waiter/Waitress

Anyone who’s waited tables knows that it’s gruelling work, with little financial reward. Being paid minimum wage to deal with obnoxious or drunk customers? As well as not getting your tips? Definitely not cool.

4. Dishwasher

Cleaning up someone else’s salivated and half-chewed food for miniscule pay? This is the lowest rung in the kitchen, and while many chefs have got their start on this rung, it’s a lowly place to start.

5. Telemarketer

Telemarketing jobs pay reasonably well, and they have excellent hiring opportunities. In fact, telemarketing agencies always seem to have spots open… that’s because most people can’t cut a single week in the stressful atmosphere of call centres. You’re being screamed at by your boss, you’re being screamed at by the people you call, you’re in a frenzied competition with everyone else – most people try to get out before this work situation gives them a mental breakdown.

6. Sewer Worker

In the west, working in a sewer is unpleasant, but not too horrendous. Well, for a job that involves a lot of poo, it’s not too bad.  It gets bad in areas where sewage works are very old, badly maintained and where workers don’t get the luxury of protective gear. Say what you like about office work, at least it doesn’t involve being waist deep in the stink stuff.

7. Print Journalist

Journalism appears easy to those on the outside, but the hard trudge of researching and writing, working many hours for a pittance, and the lack of hiring opportunities – not ignoring the decrease of the print market – make print journalism a daunting career.

8. Roustabout

A roustabout is a worker who maintains all things in the oil field. The physical demands, the stress, and the inherent danger of working around oil make this challenging, even adventurous job, a real tough slog.

9. Taxi Driver

It takes a lot of knowledge and insider info to become a taxi driver. It also takes a huge amount of patience to deal with time wasters, drunks vomiting in the cab, and people who are just plain rude.

10. Foxconn Factory Worker

Foxconn, a Taiwanese multinational electronics company, has had several controversies relating to the treatment of factory workers.  There have been allegations of extremely poor working conditions, violent fights and a tragic spate of suicides.

Online vs Traditional Teaching Certification

Teaching is about leading the next generation into a better tomorrow. An important part of teaching is not only educating students, but truly caring about their educational future. How you get into this position is entirely up to you. Whether you choose to obtain a teaching certification in the classroom physically or online leads you to the same place standing in front of a classroom. There have been many discussions about which produces the better outcome, but many studies show there is no difference.

Online certification programs require future teachers to have completed a bachelor’s degree in any field and have a certain number of hours in a classroom as a substitute. After completing the courses, you cannot teach in a classroom until you have passed the state test. Getting a traditional teacher certification in a classroom does require you to take more tests in a specific subject area. You are immersed in education in all areas of the degree.

According to the Core Knowledge Blog a study was done comparing online teaching certified teachers and teachers with a traditional teaching certification. This study focused on over 2500 students in 63 schools. They found there was no significant difference in the performance of students that were taught by a teacher whom received an online education or a traditional classroom education. This study concluded that an individual teacher can effect the students’ test scores, but there was no way to identify why that teacher was so effective. It also concluded that no matter how you took your place as head of the classroom, the first year of teaching is about learning the most effective ways to reach your particular students.

The Academic and Business Research Institute did a study on teachers from both programs and concluded that both methods of teaching were effective. The most important thing they found was that placing teachers in an actual classroom to get experience is the best training overall.

Studies across the country show that learning and experience leads to the best education. Being on the fast track to a teaching degree through an online program will be effective in a classroom if you are dedicated to your students and their future. Online courses let you work at your own pace. Each day or each week you can study the new curriculum and learn as you go. You are able to take breaks and pick up your studies on your own time. Learning in a classroom is best if you like the structure of going to class at a certain time each day or week. The syllabus outlines testing times and you follow a regimen that lead you to a degree after a certain number of hours.

A teaching certification will help you touch the lives of your students with education. Getting experience and knowledge in your field of education is essential no matter how you obtain it. The most important thing is to take education seriously and educate lives along the journey.

When It Comes To Leasing A Car

When It Comes To Leasing A Car

Leasing a car is not just about heading down to the local car lot to pick out the car that you think you need, it is about taking the time to figure out exactly what kind of car is right for you after undertaking some research. A major problem with jumping into a lease is, well, you are going to be stuck in the lease for several years, meaning that you need to be sure about the decision that you end up making, as you are going to be committed to it for quite a long period of time. With this in mind, it is important not just to look at the cars that are available to you, but also to be aware of what you want in a car. Before you start looking at car leasing deals that are out there, take the time to sit at your kitchen table (or on your couch) and come up with a list of features that you want from your car, making sure that they fit with your needs and wants. Only when you know what you are looking for in a car can you actually start looking. It only makes sense that you need an “end game” before you start your search. So here are the first steps that will help you begin your car search.

It is also important to have certain car brands in mind even before you start searching. This will help you exclude other options and make your research more specific. There are certain brands out there that are just going to offer better options than others, meaning that you are going to want to concentrate on them instead of simply running around looking at everything that is out there because otherwise you might lose time and patience. If you a luxury car is what you want then you may want to look into a mercedes lease or a BMW list; on the other hand, if you want to go for a small car you might want to consider a Vauxhall which would work out perfectly for you in the city. Having a car company in mind that may meet most of your needs will allow you to have a better search, and not waste your time on lots that are not going to give you anything to go on.

Ways to Save Money on Entertainment

According to a Nielsen survey from the year 2009, more than half of America’s households have at least three working televisions in them! And that study did not factor in the other types of devices we use for entertainment, such as computers, laptops, tablets, video game consoles, and even our phones. To put the big picture into a few small words, Americans love their entertainment. That’s why entertainment delivery platforms are such big business. Cable and internet providers count on the voracious American appetite for great entertainment, and while it’s great to have so many options for entertainment, it’s not so great when you and your family get hit with a huge monthly bill!

The savvy consumer knows, however, that there are cable TV deals, internet, and phone bundles, and special offers galore to be taken advantage of, if only you know where to look. You can stand to save big on your monthly entertainment related bills without sacrificing any of the quality programming and enhanced features you and the gang have come to love, you just have to know how to do it!

The best way to find good cable TV deals is to go right to the source. You know that time tested expression that goes “It never hurts to ask”? Well, that sentiment is never truer than when it comes to dealing with a cable company! Cable TV deals are frequently offered to potential new customers as an enticement to sign a contract, and indeed the low monthly rates on cable and internet and/or phone packages promised for a year or even two years sound great. But what you need to know is that many of those so-called “introductory” rates and deals can also be extended to you, the existing customer. After all, a good company not only gets new clients, but it takes care of its existing clientele also.

So call up your entertainment provider and just ask “What cable TV deals and internet packages can you offer me?” You’ll be amazed at how much you stand to gain in cost savings. Sometimes, you can even get more channels and better internet speed for less then you are spending now!

The next way to save money while sticking with your existing TV and internet provider is really consider what options you use and cherish, and what you and your family could easily do without. If you work from home, then having great high speed internet is a must. But if all you do is check occasional emails from the house, then maybe you can do with 12 megabyte per second download speeds, rather than that fancy 30 MBps plan you have? And if you never watch HD (high definition) channels, then make sure you didn’t get stuck with an HD promotion that has since jumped in price!

And are you paying for features like a DVR or special channels that you never use and/or watch? Beware all the extras that might have been sneaked into your plan!

If you find that you ultimately can’t get your price and entertainment plan in line with your needs and budget using your current provider, then it may be time for you to switch to a new company. There is nothing cable TV companies like more than new customers, so shop around before you sign a new contract. And remember to keep in mind that some providers may be able to offer you TV, internet, phone, and even cell phone service all in one great package! The more you can bundle together, the more you stand to save.

Deciding the Best Location for Your American Flag

Are you proud to be an American? Displaying an American flag is one of the simplest ways to express your loyalty to your country, and there’s no wrong way to do it. Regardless of whether you’d prefer to showcase your flag indoors, outdoors, or on-the-go, you’ve got plenty of options. Here’s a look at several ideas for locating your American flag so that you can display it to the world.

Your Porch

One of the most popular methods for showcasing an American flag is by letting it wave on your front porch. Flag poles can easily be mounted to the siding next to your door, or to a column supporting your front awning or porch. This will send a clear message to your neighbors and passersby that you are proud of your nation, and it will provide a daily reminder to you of the freedoms that you are able to enjoy thanks to those who made sacrifices for their country.

Your Yard

If you prefer the Star-Spangled Banner to fly high in the sky, you may prefer to equip your yard with a tall flagpole. Doing so will enable you to proudly display your American flag, while maintaining the ability to lower the banner to half-mast during times of national grief or in tribute to tragic events in our country’s history.
In addition to a large flag display, you can also use miniature American flags in your yard. These small flags could look attractive lining your front walk, and also can be set inside potted plants as a means of showing your national devotion while also adding some decoration to your yard.

Indoors

Flag displays also work well indoors. Some individuals enjoy creating an Americana theme complete with music inside of their homes with red, white, and blue decor, as well as a display of many small American flags or one large banner hanging on their wall, or above the fireplace. Special, encased flags can also help to create the centerpiece for a display of military awards and photos in tribute to family veterans, and family members who are currently serving their country.

Beyond the home, businesses, religious facilities, schools, and other organizations may also like to display an American flag indoors. Special indoor flag poles make it easy to keep our freedoms and our troops at the front of your mind, and can also make it possible to practice flag raising rituals.

Your Vehicle

Why keep your love for your country back at home? Special mounting equipment makes it possible for drivers to display American flags from their vehicles so that they can show their pride for their nation no matter where they go. Flag decals are also available so that an American Flag can be displayed from your vehicle’s window without having to worry about any mounting hardware.
In Memory

An excellent way to pay tribute to a loved one who served his or her country is through an American flag memorial. A miniature flag display or flags placed in potted plants at the veteran’s final resting place will allow you to say “thank you” for their service, and show the world that this person was truly special, and worked hard to protect the rights and freedoms that we all enjoy each day.

Once you’ve decided where to locate your flag, it’s important to remember etiquette. Regardless of location, a light should keep your flag illuminated if it remains up after dark, and the flag should never touch the ground. Upon becoming worn and tattered, be sure to dispose of the banner properly, and replace it with a new one.

Using the Debt Avalanche Technique to Get Your Business Out of The Red

Starting a small business isn’t cheap. Getting investors and other financial backing can help lower the cost of entry, but it’s not uncommon for new owners to take out a loan and accrue other debts in order to get their new company off the ground. For example, if you’re opening a restaurant you’re going to need to purchase kitchen appliances, furniture, etc.

In one sense, this ability to get into debt is good – it gives people who might not otherwise have the money the chance to own and operate their own companies. However, as any good business owner will tell you, it’s never smart to stay in debt. Once your business is operational, it’s imperative that you begin to pay down your debts as aggressively as possible to push your business out of the red and into the black. There are several different ways to do this, but arguably the most effective is a strategy espoused by personal finance gurus for years. It’s called the Debt Avalanche, and it works like this.

The Debt Avalanche is a relatively new spin on the Debt Snowball strategy invented by personal finance pro Dave Ramsey. Like its name implies, Ramsey’s technique focuses on “snowballing” your debts away by starting small and working your way to the top. You list all of your debts, and then put all of your disposable income towards paying down the smallest item on the list (while maintaining minimum payments on your other debts as well). Once the smallest debt is taken care of, you move on to the second-smallest, and so on and so forth. The idea is that working your way up the ladder will make it easy to stay motivated as you pay your way out of debt.

From a personal finance point of view, this is a sound strategy. Aggressively paying down debts one at a time is mathematically efficient, and starting small will give you the quick wins necessary to stay motivated and dedicated throughout the entire process. However, when it comes to paying down debts for your business, there’s room for improvement. Businesses don’t need moral victories – they need to need to get out of debt as quickly and cheaply as possible.

That’s where the Debt Avalanche comes in. Like the Snowball, it focuses on paying down debts one at a time.  However, rather than starting from the bottom, the Avalanche cascades down from the top. This makes it slightly more difficult but much more efficient in terms of time and money. Here’s how you can do it for your small business.

1)      Organize Your Debts. First, you need to list your debts in order of the highest interest rate after tax to the lowest. This means figuring out which debts cost you the most every month. You can do this with pen and paper, but it’s much easier if you’ve already got a finance management system in place, like QuickBooks small business accounting software. Typically, your most expensive debts will be your business credit cards, followed by your mortgage and other bank loans. Remember to take tax credits into account when calculating all of this, otherwise you might mistakenly let a high-expense debt linger.

2)      Pay the Minimums. You don’t want any of your business’ debts to go into default, so make sure you note the minimum payments required by each. You want to allocate enough of your revenue stream to cover every minimum payment each month. Keep track of the due dates as well to ensure that you’re never late with a payment.

3)      Attack the Highest Interest. Once you’ve figured out which debt is costing your business the most each month, attack it. Send all of your disposable income towards that debt. Keep in mind that “investing” in your business is almost never as financially beneficial as “investing” in its debt, so be prepared to put those new office computers on the backburner for a while. Once all of your operating expenses and minimum payments have been taken care off, all of your unused income should be devoted towards attacking your highest-interest debt.

4)      Rinse and Repeat. Once your most expensive debt has been eliminated, it’s time to repeat the cycle. Re-order your list to figure out your new target debt, and attack that. It’s that simple.

If you need to get your business out of debt, stop thinking like a snowball and start thinking like an avalanche. If practiced correctly, the Debt Avalanche can be the most efficient way to get your business out of the red and into the black. It won’t be easy, but it will be effective and if you can grit your teeth and really attack your high-interest debts, you may find yourself finally turning a profit within the year.

Engineering Manager Job Concerns

Introduction

Many engineering management supervisors have come through the ranks. Most have a lot of technological innovation coaching and guidance experience. Managers have two main jobs: to get the best perform out of staff and to create an atmosphere that allows employees to get the work done.  This article highlights some engineering management job concerns.

1. It is important to have a meeting with your team on a weekly basis to thrash out problems and concerns.  It is important to constantly evaluate performance. It is essential to know what your staff are doing and whether they are meeting targets. Managers who have come through the ranks would profit from an engineering management degree online.

2.  It is essential to have faith in your team. It is important to ensure your team knows what is expected from them and what is required to the job effectively. Regularly ask your team if they need assistance to maintain performance.

3. Respect your staff and treat them the way they want to be handled, not necessarily the way you would like them to be treated.

4. Praise results, not time spent.

Many engineering managers compensate individuals depending on how long they invest at a job, not the outcomes they accomplish. However, time on the job may not link with performance. With engineering leadership you create an atmosphere where staff gets the job done.  Your team becomes motivated and works harder. The idea is to monitor the end result, not just time spent on the project.

5. Admit your mistakes.

All engineering managers make mistakes.  It’s uncomfortable to confess that you got it wrong. Many managers think they lose regard of the team or colleagues when they admit mistakes. Admitting mistakes show you’re human. Ideally you should talk to your team and establish what went wrong and how to quickly put things right. Never blame your team for something you should have had control over. Managers without formal qualifications should consider engineering management degree online.

6. Before embarking on a project, make sure your team is up for the challenge.

There is little point in pursuing a project if your team in not up to standard. Unrealistic deadlines will only cause unnecessary stress and worry, not just for the manager, but his team also. Ensure your team can deliver, if not look at changing the composition of your team before embarking on a new project.

7. Plan staff training and frequent meetings.

Engineering is a complicated business and your team need to up to the latest technologies. Regular staff training can fill some of the gaps. An engineering management degree online can be invaluable for managers.

Properly trained mangers are efficient managers and have total respect of their team. A team which works in harmony with the management will get better results achieve stronger performance and maintain the highest standards.

BMW Continues to Take the Lead in Automotive Technology

BMW’s history extends back to the early 1900s. In fact, the automobile company was founded in 1916 in Munich, Germany. During its early years, BMW focused on building aircraft engines and later, motorcycles, which could be a reason the automobile maker’s vehicles maintain their smooth, dependable ride for as long as they do.

However, it wasn’t until the 1950s that BMW became known as a classic car, the type of automobile avid car lovers appreciate. Over the years, BMW has revolutionized its models, designing and building vehicles like classy convertibles, three and four-door sedans with mw x5 floor mats and full-size hybrids families can travel in comfortably and sports coupes. Recently, BMW announced the launch of its i3 plug-in.

New Launch Expectations for BMW

In the March 20, 2013 Auto Blog “BMW’s Herbet Diess i3 Plug-in Launch is ‘Revolutionizing’ Driving is ‘Just Great Fun’” article, Herbet Diess, Member of BMW’s Development board, shared, “We think we have a very different approach, and you see it in the product. It’s a very comprehensive approach that includes not only bringing the car to the market but also revolutionizing the way we are marketing the car.” Diess continues, “We will offer the car with additional services that are required so, for instance, you can get access to renewable energy, if you want, in several areas worldwide.”

In addition to the i3 plug-in, BMW plans to offer smartphone applications and other Internet based services. It’s these services that could further set BMW apart from other car brands. Of course, to continue to attract its loyal customer base, the car maker also plans to continue to offer accessories like bmw x5 floor mats, customized seat cushions and custom built rims.

To help educate car shoppers about the details of the new i3 plug-in, BMW has said that it will have special dealers to review the new technology. Of course, some dealerships may educate their sales team about the new product. This could allow sales professionals to provide an overview on the i3 plug-in while educating customers on trusted accessories like car covers, front rubber floor mats, illuminated door sills, mw x5 floor mats and Bluetooth speakers.

Surprisingly, some of the new designs are sleek, attractive. As with other newly launched products, the plug-ins may not be available everywhere when it first hits the market. But, drivers who appreciate a smooth, dependable ride, may not mind the wait. After all, they will still have access to winning BMW cars and sedans like sports activity vehicles and the 128i coupe, the 335i sedan, the 535i Grand Turismo and the M5 convertible.

Considering the fact that 1990s BMWs are still riding smoothly nearly 20 years after they were sold, it’s not a bad wait. The fact that BMWs are so durable is another reason why the ability to purchase new accessories (i.e. steering wheel coverings, door sills, mw x5 floor mats) is important. After all, it’s not uncommon for accessories to need to be replaced before drivers need to go out and buy a new automobile. When purchasing accessories, BMW owners are encouraged to compare prices, including the opportunity to purchase accessories online from the comforts of their home.

Essential prevent packet analyzer for businesses

What is a packet analyzer?

Veracode.com audit says Packet analyzers are known by several other names—packet sniffers, network analyzers and protocol analyzers. Other terms—such as Ethernet or wireless sniffers—are in use also, but they are restricted to certain kinds of networks. Whatever they are called, they are programs that are designed to intercept traffic that passes over a digital network or some part of it and makes a logged record of it. Each packet of data that crosses the network is captured and, if necessary, the raw data contained therein is decoded and its content analyzed in accordance with the most recent Request for Comments specifications. Errors that occur during transmission can be made more efficient if packets are used.

On packets

In networking, a packet is “a formatted unit of data carried by a packet mode computer network.” The use of packets antedates the Internet – packet switching was first used in 1968, and the idea for it had been formulated even earlier. In May of 1974 a paper was published by the Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers titled ”A Protocol for Packet Network Intercommunication.”

The rest of this article will be about packet analyzers for businesses—a purpose for which such programs are especially valuable, as they can enable all company resources to be aligned and focused towards a single goal. It is always crucial, too, that the personnel in a company know how their bandwidths are being used, since that information is needed for auditing and other accounting purposes.

Instant Business Network 4.5.24

Instant Business Network 4.5.24 is one of the best software programs of its kind. It caters to a variety of user types and is so easy to administer that everyone who works for the business that uses it can benefit therefrom. Executives will appreciate it, too, because of its instant reporting and measurement capabilities. Less time and money will be wasted, teams will be better able to communicate with each other, files and issues can be combined with projects and project management tools integrated, and the sharing of information made more secure.

Network Packet Analyzer CAPSA

Network Packet Analyzer CAPSA, available from Javvin, prevents all kinds of network problems from occurring. It is also one of the cheapest, being offered for a free trial. Three levels are being made—Enterprise for monitoring and analyzing traffic that comes over Ethernet WiFi and LAN networks; Professional, for monitoring Ethernet LAN only; and WiFi, for monitoring Ethernet WiFi only. Monitoring can be done for bandwidth usage and performance, and network traffic analyzed to locate breaches in security or simply trace a particular transaction. Also capable of being monitored with this software are FTP downloads, Internet access, email usage and instant messaging.

Tools featured on Network Packet Analyzer CAPSA include:

    • MAC Scanner—for scanning LAN physical addresses
    • Veracode’s guide to Botnet detection and prevention
    • Packet Builder—for checking how vulnerable the network is to outside attacks
    • Packet Player—tests packets by replaying them
    • Ping Tool—for checking what network devices are available

The user of Network Packet Analyzer CAPSA can also view charts that display various kinds of data, such as how the bandwidth is being used. The user interface is friendly—you can view things according to various criteria, such as IP address, email or packets. More than one project at a time can be supported. The filters are similarly flexible—factors by which data obtained from packets can be filtered include protocol, track filter history,  and IP address.

Best ways to protect your assets and information

What needs protection?

Two things are of highest value to a business—its assets and its information. The former are the lifeblood of the business—it is these tangible items that it markets in order to make money, which in turn can be used to purchase more assets and also to do the research necessary to improve business practices. The latter consists of the facts that this

business and this business alone knows—it can be used to make products and perform services in a way that nobody else can, because they do not have that information.

Businesses are thus continually under threat of attack by thieves who want to steal their assets, often with the hope of selling them themselves, and from spies who wish to get hold of trade secrets and use them for their own businesses. Many of these spies come from foreign countries—an article appeared in the February 1998 edition of Reader’s Digest called “These Spies Steal American Jobs.” This article will tell you the best ways in which you can protect your precious assets and information against theft.

Surveillance

Installing a surveillance system is one of the first steps towards protecting both tangible and intangible assets. They can detect somebody trying to steal items from the premises or access the computer system to steal company information. The best types of surveillance cameras are those that are so tiny they can be hidden in inconspicuous places, so that a thief will not know that they are even there and will not think to conceal his face from them or try and damage them by shooting at them (as often happens on TV). One of the highest quality surveillance systems is the one you can get from Audcomp.

Asset tracking

Companies are now also beginning to adopt asset tracking as part of their security systems like SmartShare social sharing plugin. Bar codes are commonly used for this purpose, as are active and passive RFID smart tags, by which items can be tracked as far away as 6600 feet. Besides their location, such factors as temperature can be determined—and this can be very valuable if the asset in question is one that cannot be stored at temperatures above or below a certain level. GPS technology is also being rapidly brought into the picture—it is used in tandem with mobile phones in a system called satellite phone or “satphone.”

Protecting information

In today’s age almost all information is stored on computers. The company computer system should be protected by means of passwords, as well as with firewalls and other forms of protection software that should be updated regularly for protection against new forms of malware. Also make sure that all incoming emails are authenticated in case somebody might be trying to hack into your computer system to steal information.

A word must also be said about cloud storage. Companies are turning more and more to it as a way of saving valuable space on the hard drive. Before you make that decision, however, you should know that privacy in the cloud is not guaranteed where as Veracode offers Web application security. Therefore, any data that you would not want people outside your company to see should be stored on a physical computer.

A last word

Business activity is built first of all around trust. Remember that any system, no matter how technologically foolproof it may seem, is only as secure as the people who have been entrusted with its operation. So allow only those you can absolutely trust to access your assets and information. For more information visit http://www.veracode.com/security/data-breach.

Mobile Monitoring for Security Systems

Most security systems can protect your home without forcing you to pay attention to them, but many homeowners are still interested in seeing what is happening at their homes when

they are away. Recent advancements in mobile monitoring allow homeowners to watch their home through security cameras whenever they want. Here is some basic and useful information if you are considering a home security system with mobile monitoring.

Smartphone OS
There are four popular smartphone operating systems: Windows, iOS, Android and BlackBerry. All of these systems have different apps and capabilities that vastly alter the user experience. While some mobile monitoring systems will only work with a certain OS, the truth is that most of these systems work with all of the popular systems.

If you are worried about not having the right OS, then contact the provider and see what system you need. Android and iOS are the most popular. If you have one of these smartphones, then you should have no problems monitoring your home through your mobile device.

Watch the Cameras
A http://safesoundfamily.com/ mobile monitoring system allows you to see whatever the cameras see with your smartphone. These systems tend to work best with IP cameras that are connected to the Internet. If you have a control panel that is constantly recording the footage from the cameras, then this might allow you to watch the footage from your mobile device.

At the same time, you will get the best results from IP cameras. Many of the other cameras tend to have a hard time integrating with apps.

People at Home
While the main focus of a mobile monitoring system is to help you watch out for burglars, you can also use this to monitor people in the house. For example, you can place an IP camera in the living room to watch nannies or hired help to ensure that they don’t do anything wrong.

Bandwidth
The best thing about mobile monitoring is that you can use the Internet to see everything that the cameras see. At the same time, this can use a lot of bandwidth. IP cameras usually don’t require much memory, but it’s easy to use gigabytes of data if you constantly watch the footage.

If you don’t have an unlimited data plan with your provider, then try to limit how often you monitor your security system.

Monitor Everything
While most mobile monitoring systems are made to show you what the cameras see, there are some more advanced systems that allow you to monitor everything, http://safesoundfamily.com/p/remote-video-surveillance/. This is usually given to you if you hired a service provider that installed a comprehensive security system.

For example, you might be able to monitor all of the alarms, sensors and the control panel in your home through your smartphone. This is uncommon, but it gives you much more control over your home’s safety.

Faster Response
It often doesn’t take long for your security system to respond to a threat by calling the police or sounding an alarm, but it will often be quicker if you call the police yourself. For example, a security center might call you to see if things are going well before calling the police.

You can avoid this by calling the police and telling them what you saw. Here is more info on how alarm systems work; http://safesoundfamily.com/p/burglar-alarm-systems/

Conclusion
Mobile monitoring is a useful feature that will enable you to watch your home through your smartphone. While most systems only allow you to see through the IP cameras that you have installed, there are some systems that enable you to monitor everything in your home. If you want the best home security and peace of mind, then try using mobile monitoring.

Door and Window Sensors are Essential.

Wireless door and window sensor alarms are essential if you own a business or home. These are both assets that need to be protected. Businesses are often more valuable, and safety at home is important for obvious reasons. While door and window sensors should be used as part of a layered security system because they do have their disadvantages, the truth is that these sensors are absolutely essential if you want to ensure the security of your home or business.

Less Theft

According to the Safe Sound Family website the biggest advantage of installing these sensors is that your chances of being robbed dramatically decrease. Door and window sensors can often be programmed to turn on all of the lights and sound an alarm that will frighten most criminals away. While there will be few that will ignore the lights and sounds, this is very rare.

Most thieves rely on being quiet and unseen. They expect the ordeal to go a certain way, but these sensors can immediately change their expectations. They no longer just have to deal with moving as quietly as possible. The thieves now have to worry about lights, sounds, neighbors and the possibility of the home or business owner running at them with a weapon.

They also understand that neighbors are prone to calling the police during situations like this. Thieves don’t want to be caught. This means that most of them will leave the home or business immediately so that they can avoid arrest. Some sensors can even be configured so that they will automatically call the police if they are triggered, but most don’t offer this option.

While some people might be desperate enough to push forward, at least 95 percent of potential thieves will run as soon as they trip the alarm.

Immediately Find Criminal
Another advantage of door and window sensors is that you can immediately find the criminal. If you don’t use sensors, then someone might sneak into your home or business, steal a few things and leave without anybody knowing. The person may also stay at the home or business and wait for people to enter.

This is scary, but door and window sensors can avoid this issue. You know that someone tried to break into your home or business. This means that you can be defensive and call the police without entering the premises.

Sensors allow you to be as safe as possible without putting yourself in danger. This is especially helpful if you think someone is sneaking into your home or business because the sensors will be able to prove or disprove your suspicions.

Reduce Insurance
The final major benefit of door and window sensors is that they can reduce your insurance. There are many ways to reduce your premiums, and making your home or business safer is one of the best ways. This is because it protects you and allows you to save money at the same time.

A safer home or business reduces the risk the insurance company is taking on insuring you. Since the risk is reduced, the insurance company will respond by decreasing your premiums. You can reduce your insurance by 20 percent or more by just adding some sensors and alarms. For complete costs visit http://safesoundfamily.com/p/how-much-does-home-security-cost/.

Conclusion
While you shouldn’t rely solely on door and window sensors because they are meant for a layered security system, they have many benefits that will help keep you safe. These sensors can significantly reduce the likelihood of anyone stealing from you, you can immediately catch the criminal because you know someone tried sneaking into your home or business and the sensors can decrease your insurance premiums.

Great Solutions for Sinus Pain

There are eight sinuses in the head. Two are located in the forehead, one behind each cheekbone, two inside the bones that are between the eyes, and one behind each eye. There are a variety of solutions available, some more natural than others. For a complete list of solutions visit http://www.delimsmune.com/solutions/. But in the mean time these are some tricks we suggests!

While it is known that they produce mucus that helps to moisten the inside of the nose, there are some experts who aren’t sure why it is that we have them. For something that has many experts puzzled, sinuses certainly manage to cause significant discomfort and pain at times for millions of people.

There are a number of things that can be the cause of sinus pain, such as:

• A sinus blockage – If some type of blockage happens in the narrow spot of a sinus, mucus can become backed up well into the sinus cavity.

• A deviated septum – A thin wall of cartilage and bone called a septum splits the sinus into two nasal passages. If the septum is deviated to one side, one of the nasal passages is smaller than the other, making it difficult to breathe.

• A common cold

• Narrow sinuses

• Allergies

Most people may not be as concerned about what is causing their sinus pain or discomfort as they are about finding a way to stop it. The best way to stop the pain and congestion is to keep the sinuses and nasal passages moist. There are several ways to do this:

• Take long hot showers

• Boil water and carefully breathe in the steam

• Use a humidifier

• Squirt a nasal saline spray into the nasal passages

These techniques may ease the congestion by moistening the nasal passages and sinuses; however, there are more things that can be done at home that will further relieve sinus pain, congestion, and pressure:

• Apply a warm, wet compress to the face

• Keep the head elevated at night by using extra pillows. This will make breathing easier.

• Nasal irrigation – The concept behind irrigating the sinuses with a solution of saline and water is that it flushes out those irritating and infectious agents like allergens, dust, and debris. These things get into the nose and cause excess mucus and nasal blockages. Nasal irrigation is a treatment for sinus issues that has been used for hundreds of years, and it is supported by scientific proof that it works. It not only clears the nasal passages but helps to keep them moist.

There are many different ways to irrigate the nasal passages. It can be done with a syringe, a neti pot, or an elaborate nasal irrigator that can be found in most drug stores. Previously boiled water or distilled or sterile water should be used for the saline solution or congestion relief. Find relief with Del Immune here: http://www.delimmune.com/del-immune-v/

Over-the-counter medication can also be used to help control sinus pain and congestion.

• Decongestants relieve the swelling in the nasal passages, which eases the sinus pressure. They come as sprays or in pill form.

• Allergy medications like antihistamines work well if allergies are the cause of the sinus pain.

• Pain relievers can help with sinus pain, but don’t do anything to relieve sinus pressure and congestion.

Using some of these home remedies may help relieve the pain and discomfort of sinus problems. As a rule, however, if the problem continues for more than a week, it is best to consult a doctor.
